Townsend Early Childhood Center

Welcome to the new website for Townsend Early Childhood Center! We're excited- and proud-to have you become a part of our great school.

The Appoquinimink School District provides meaningful educational experiences for its youngest learners with developmentally appropriate Early Childhood Centers. Kindergarten students attend full day sessions with instruction designed to enhance all aspects of growth and development. The curriculum includes language and literacy, hands on activities in science and mathematics, and exposure to visual and performing arts with weekly classes in music and art. The entire teaching staff at TECC meets Highly Qualified standards by the State of Delaware Department of Education. We are committed to meet the needs of every student enrolled at our school.

Parents are an important part of the TECC community. Many opportunities exist for parents to volunteer in classrooms or the school library, and to participate in the activities and events sponsored by the Parent Teacher Organization (TECC PTO).

We encourage you to keep the lines of communication open and to be as involved as often as you can. We know and respect that you are your child's first and most important teacher. Together we will work toward your child's success.
